The GEMS project is an international initiative designed to reshape the technology sector by empowering girls and young women with the tools to excel in the digital era. Our vision goes beyond simple representation; we aim to foster an inclusive educational environment that actively dismantles gender biases and inspires the next generation of female innovators in ICT.
By bridging the gap between higher education and the evolving needs of the tech market, the project supports a transition toward a more equitable and diverse digital landscape. We are building a collaborative network of universities, research centers, and VET experts across Europe—spanning from Italy and Estonia to Cyprus, Slovenia, Spain, and Austria—to drive this systemic cultural transformation.
To ensure long-term impact, all project results are open-source and globally replicable. Through a comprehensive digital ecosystem—featuring the "TechGems" video series, the EquiTeach pedagogical framework, and a dedicated mentorship program—GEMS provides the resources needed to equip educators and students alike with high-level digital competencies and professional confidence.
